La place des 6 disciplines
Située sur la Main en carton, la place des 6 disciplines celebrera la première mondiale que constitue l’union des 6 principales les disciplines du design autour de la question de la valorisation des paysages construits et de la vie collective par le design. 6 “hubs”, un par disciplines, serviront de point de rencontre et de diffusion des activités en fonction des territoires de compétences et des themes du Sommet. Les 6 hubs seront surmontés d’un grand diffuseur qui révélera par le contenu et les participants la nature de chaque discipline. Des estrades, qui serviront aussi à l’accueil des participants durant le Sommet permettront de visionner des contenus sur les 6 écrans sera mis en cohérence ponctuellement pour souligner la synergie des disciplines et rediffuser des présentations qui affichent “complet”. Profil d’exposant préconisé pour cette zone : Les espaces sont dédiés aux associations des disciplines. Des moments de diffusion sur écrans seront offerts au commanditaires principaux en respectant la cohérence des contenus et la spécificité des disciplines. Les estrades seront aménagées en lounge vertical par exposants (ex. Molodesign).
No Taste For Bad Taste, le French Design
The international exhibition to promote French Design “NO TASTE FOR BAD TASTE” will be part of the Expo in October. NO TASTE FOR BAD TASTE aims to promote French Design through 40 iconic design objects and is presented by the Valorization of Innovation in Furnishing (VIA) and Ameublement Français. The exhibition helps to achieve a twin objective: showcasing the creativity of Le French Design and promoting the French furniture industry around the world. Brazilian design is on the move!
The World Design Summit Organization is pleased to announce a pavilion showcasing Brazilian design at our Expo Oct 17-20. The pavilion will represent the quality and innovation of Brazilian design through leading companies that produce design objects through sustainable practices. Mouton no Ar, Luciano Santelli, Nostracasa, Outra Oficina, Ratoroi, and Bossa Nova will present their creative furniture and decorative pieces and LAP Mosaicos will showcase their tiles and surfaces. The Expo is also an opportunity to strengthen ties between Brazil and Canada. Synsocium, A Dialogue Between Art & Design:
An Exploration of the Six Major Themes of the World Design Summit. Addressing global issues through art, solving problems through design. This multifaceted exhibition showcases the works of six internationally renowned Canadian artists, interwoven with the views of seasoned designers from around the world. The striking dialogues address the six main themes of the World Design Summit Congress: Design for Earth, Design for Participation, Design for Transformation, Design for Beauty, Design for Sale? and Design for Extremes. These dyads, committed to a deeper exploration of the transformative potential of art and design, illustrate their views on contemporary issues through various representations, such as peaceful consumerism and colonial lunar migration. Carefully curated, these pairings promise to enhance the dedicated research underlying each displayed production, so that their impact may resonate across the coming decade. Together, the artists and designers incite change on a global scale, illuminating channels of possible action through a common commitment.
