Michel Dallaire


Born in Paris, Michel Dallaire studied at the Institute of Applied Arts in Montreal and at the Konstfackskolan, the Higher School of Industrial Arts in Stockholm before specializing in design management at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales et en Transformation of polymers at the Institute of Materials Engineering at the National Research Center in Montreal.

An active member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts, an officer of the Order of Canada, an officer of the National Order of Quebec and a companion of the arts and letters of Quebec, Michel Dallaire holds two honorary doctorates from the Faculty of Environmental Design at the University of Calgary and Faculty of Development at the University of Montreal where he is currently an Associate Professor. Among other prizes and recognitions, in 1991 he received the Prix Paul-Émile-Borduas, the highest distinction awarded by the Government of Québec in the field of visual arts.

Since January 2015, he is Senior Advisor at the Provencher_Roy Group in Montreal, where he is responsible for special projects related to development, street furniture and design of transportation equipment.
